HC judges to hear urgent cases in chambers today, tomorrow
LUCKNOW:Four judges of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court will hear urgent cases in their chambers on April 9 and
10. Advocates were not required to attend the court and if required, they may submit their written submission/ objections through e-mail on urgentlisting_lucknow@allahabadhighcourt.in. An order in this regard was passed on Tuesday by justice Pankaj Kumar Jaiswal, the senior judge of the Lucknow bench. It was brought to notice of the senior judge that several lawyers were mentioning urgency for listing bail applications relating to minor offences that were in the fresh list of March 19 and daily cause-list of March 18 and
19.

An order in this regard was passed on Tuesday by justice Pankaj Kumar Jaiswal, the senior judge of the Lucknow bench. It was brought to notice of the senior judge that several lawyers were mentioning urgency for listing bail applications relating to minor offences that were in the fresh list of March 19 and daily cause-list of March 18 and 19.
“In view of the facts stated above, I deem it appropriate to get the minor bail applications and criminal writ petitions under Article 226 of Constitution of India where prayer is made for stay of arrest which were in the fresh list of 19 March, 2020 and daily cause-list of 18-03-2020 and 19-03-2020 be listed before the Hon’ble Court on 09 and 10 April, 2020 as follows:” the order said.
As per the order, a division bench comprising justice Pankaj Kumar Jaiswal and justice Jaspreet Singh will be constituted in the chamber no.1 at 10:30 am and will take up the cases . Also justice Rekha Dixit, justice DK Singh and justice Jaspreet Singh will sit singly in their chambers on Thursday and Friday. The court has been closed till further order in veiw of Covid-19 outbreak.
