MAN, SON STAY ON TREE TO FOLLOW SOCIAL DISTANCING

-

Taking social distancing to a new level, a lawyer and his son have made a tree their house to protect themselves and their family from the deadly Sars-Cov-2 infection in Asora village of Hapur district.

Mukul Tyagi, 50, and his 17-year-old son Shrestha have been spending most of their daytime on a platform they have raised on a tree in their nursery since March 22. However, they go back home during night. “After a few Covid-19 cases were reported in India in the beginning of March, I started following the updates. The only measure that can save us from the disease is social distancing. Hence I, along with my family, started taking precautions. One day as I was strolling in the nursery, my son suggested to build a tree house.

MEERUT:

Afterwards when I started spending time at nursery during lockdown, my son and I use this tree house to relax,” says Mukul whose wife and 23-year-old daughter stay home. His son Shrestha says they take care of their plants and read various books to pass time during their stay on the tree. He adds that they also take care of their plants during the time. “Although I want to be here all day, I have to return home in the evening as it is hard to spend nights here. There are a number of animals such as snakes and poisonous insects due to which we can’t stay here during night. We come back here in the mornings,” shares Mukul.

He further says that even at their house, all family members keep a proper distance from one another and take all possible precautions.
