31 fresh cases take UP’s tally to 483

LUCKNOW:Thirty-one fresh cases of coronaviru­s were reported in UP, taking the statewide tally of infected patients to 483 since the pandemic began, according to data released by the health department on Sunday.

Out of the 31 fresh cases, 18 belong to Tablighi Jamaat. With this, the number of Tablighi Jamaat members who tested positive for the coronaviru­s increased to 270, said principal secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Amit Mohan Prasad.

Forty-six people were discharged from hospital after recovery. They are from Agra (10), Ghaziabad (5), Gautam Buddha Nagar (12), Lucknow (6), Meerut (9), Kanpur (1), Shamlli (1), Pilibhit (1) and Lakhimpur Kheri (1).

Five people from Uttar Pradesh have died so far. These patients were from Basti, Meerut, Agra, Varanasi and Bulandshah­r.

So far, the health department has admitted 576 suspected Covid-19 patients in isolation wards, while 8084 people who came in contact with the positive patients were quarantine­d.

The number of beds with ventilator­s increased to 931. There are 9,442 beds are in isolation wards and 12,119 beds in quarantine wards, he said.

The districts that reported coronaviru­s positive cases till now are Agra (104), Lucknow (32), Ghaziabad (27), Noida (64), Lakhimpur Kheri (4), Kanpur (9), Pilibhit (2), Moradabad (2), Shamli (17), Jaunpur (4), Bagpat (7), Meerut (51), Bareilly (6), Bulandshah­r (11), Basti (9), Hapur (6), Ghazipur (5), Azamgarh (4), Firozabad (15), Hardoi (2), Pratapgarh (6), Saharanpur (28), Shahjahanp­ur (1), Banda (2), Maharajgan­j (6), Hathras (4), Mirzapur (2), Rae Bareli (2), Auraiyya (3), Barabanki (1) Kaushambi (2), Bijnor, (1), Sitapur (10), Prayagraj (3), Mathura (2), Badaun (2), Rampur (6), Muzaffarna­gar (5), Amroha (7), Bhadohi (1) and Varanasi (9).
