DA FREEZE: EMPLOYEES’ PROTEST PLANNED ON MAY 1
LUCKNOW: Indian Public Service Employees Federation (IPCEF) has called upon employees to light a candle at their respective residence on May 1 to protest the Centre’s decision to freeze the dearness allowance (DA). IPSEF president BP Mishra gave information in this regard at a press statement after a video conferencing with office bearers. Mishra said the employees of central and state governments were agitated following the decision to freeze the DA from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. He said the UP government had deferred payment of six allowances besides freezing the DA and the employees had been asked to light a candle at 12pm on May 1 to mark their protest.
