Diaphragmatic breathing: Also called abdominal breathing or belly breathing, this is done by contracting the diaphragm. Lie comfortably, a pillow under your head and one under your knees. Place one hand on your upper chest, another below your ribcage. Breathe in through your nose, you should feel your stomach rise. Breathe out through your mouth. The hand over your stomach should fall inward naturally. The hand on your chest should remain relatively still throughout.
