With new and creative culinary trends emerging on social media everyday, one thing’s for sure — the lockdown has brought out creative best. And as if different variations of Dalgona coffee weren’t enough, there is a new trend for those who don’t like coffee so much — flavourful whipped milk, which according to many is visually appealing and easier to prepare.

Shared first by Instagrammer @sweetportfolio, the recipe got more than four lakh likes. As soon as it went viral, people came out with their own versions of the recipe, such as whipped chocolate milk and whipped matcha.

HOW TO MAKE WHIPPED FLAVOURED MILK?

■ Add 1 tbsp of any flavoured milk powder and 4 tbsp (1/4 cup) of heavy whipping cream in a mixing bowl.

■ Mix them until smoothly blended. This may be a bit of an arm exercise, but make sure the mixture is smooth and silky.

■ To make your drink Instagram-worthy, place the glass upside down on the milk powder to get some of the powder on the rim.

■ For those who like their drinks cold, fill about half of the glass with ice cubes, and add the blended flavoured milk mixture over it.
