WUHAN SAMPLES ‘MIXED UP’ TO SPEED UP TESTING

BEIJING: To deal with the number of tests, Wuhan is mixing up swab samples from several individuals into one and testing them for Covid as a single unit in order to speed up the testing. Health workers collected and mixed 10 to 20 samples and carried out a single test on them. If such a sample is positive, they test each contributor to find out who’s infected.
