Yogi for revival of sick units, more revenue realisation
LUCKNOW : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday asked his team of officers to work for increased revenue realisation in accordance with the targets set for June. He also said a work plan to restart sick industrial units should be formulated to create maximum avenues for employment.
The chief minister, who was reviewing the Unlock-1 situation with his Team-11 here on Monday, did not elaborate on the June target. On Sunday, he had said there was no proposal to levy any new tax or cess for now. Although the state government’s revenue went up from Rs 2,022 crore in April to over Rs 5,000 crore in May, revenue realisation remained far below the demand.
During Monday’s meeting, he said the union government’s guidelines should be strictly followed while implementing Unlock-1. All economic, commercial and industrial activities should be carried out with precautions, he added. The chief minister said patrolling should be intensified at all parks, bazaars and highways with implementation of social distancing.
Community kitchens and quarantine centres should continue to work, he said, adding that medical screening of all migrant workers should be carried out and those found fit should be sent for home quarantine. Ration kits and sustenance allowance should be given to all the migrant workers, Yogi Adityanath reiterated.
Doctors and nurses should mandatorily take rounds, he added. The chief minister said work on setting up new testing labs should be expedited. The state government aims to increase the number of tests in the state from 10,000 per day to 20,000 by June 30.
With the number of beds in Covid hospitals crossing the one-lakh mark now, he said the work being done for medical emergency services, treatment and operations should be reviewed every day.
Yogi Adityanath said volunteers should be included in the monitoring and vigilance committees. He asked for regular feedback about cleanliness and sanitisation work in quarantine centres, community kitchens
and Covid hospitals.
Thermal scanning facility should be ensured at all railway stations and all passengers should be screened in view of train services being restored now. He also asked for preparation of a work plan for exporting mangoes.
