Can I go to a temple and my friends to mosques or churches?

You will have to wait for a week more. Visits to religious places would be allowed from June 8 onwards. The UP government has said it will issue guidelines soon (before June 8). Social distancing, masks are likely to be mandatory once the places open.

What about restaurants?

Restaurants too have been allowed to open June 8 onwards. Here too, the UP government will issue guidelines soon. Same is the case with shopping malls. But multiplexes in the malls or standalone cinema halls won't open even then (till fresh guidelines come about them)

Can I go for a hair cut to my neighbourhood barber?

Go ahead and have a haircut if you wish so. Salons and beauty parlours are allowed to reopen. But do take extra care and precaution. The government has asked these places to ensure that attendants/barbers wear face shields and gloves while attending to a client. If you see the shop is not following these norms, then backing out would be a good idea.

Can I resume my 5 am morning walks?

Yes, you may. Now the night curfew has been relaxed further. It is between 9 pm and 5 am. However, if you go to parks for the walks then you will have to leave the park before 8 am. In the evening, the timings are 5 pm to 8 pm.

What about pillion rider on my two-wheeler?

Two-wheelers are now allowed to have a pillion rider. More than one pillion rider on a two-wheeler is not permitted under the Motor Vehicles Act (MVA)--lockdown or no lockdown.

Can I book a ride in app-based taxi aggregators such as Uber and Ola?

Yes, you can. Some of them have resumed services. Autos, too, are allowed to operate.

Can I go to Varanasi on a bus?

Yes, you may. The government has allowed UP roadways (UPSRTC) buses to resume operations but the buses cannot cross UP borders.

Now, that the lockdown has been relaxed to a great extent, is it mandatory to wear masks outside?

Yes. If you are caught without a mask on or a cloth wrapped around your face, you could be fined.

Can I ask the home tutor to resume his daily visits to teach my child?

Yes. Just maintain safety and precautions.

Can I go to a shop to buy an air-conditioner?

Yes. All shops are allowed to operate now.
