LUCKNOW: The Yogi Adityanath government on Thursday introduced a new MoU (memorandum of understanding) monitoring mechanism to ensure timely implementation of investment proposals.

Industrial development minister Satish Mahana stated that the new mechanism would backed by information technology.

Chief secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari has directed the infrastructure and industrial development commissioner (IIDC), the agriculture production commissioner (APC), all additional chief secretaries, secretaries and divisional commissioners for prompt and strict compliance with provisions and processes defined under the new mechanism to facilitate willing investors and timely implementation of their projects.

Alok Kumar, principal secretary, infrastructure and industrial development, stated that under the new mechanism, all departments concerned would have to assign a dedicated nodal officer for implementation of the MoUs. He said the MoU tracking portal, which has been integrated with Nivesh Mitra, would impart digital and real-time transparency to the system. Sector-wise MoUs would be allotted to the departments concerned for monitoring. Under the new mechanism, all departments of the state government have been given two separate logins for the MoU tracking portal. One login is for the additional chief secretary /principal secretary/ secretary (administrative head) of the department and the other for appointed nodal officer of the department. Details of all the existing MoUs are already available on the portal. All the new MoUs signed by any department of the state government need to be entered in the tracking portal.
