The quarantine gave me a lesson of life

This quarantine taught me a lot. I got back being my real self. All this while, when I was busy socially I had forgotten my real self which I used to be.

When the lockdown was declared the first thought that occurred to me was how will I survive without my friends as they were family to me. But I was able to survive easily because here I was spending time with the people who actually mean the world to us and that are our parents.

The first few days went by binge watching everything available on digital platforms.

After a few days of binge watching, I realised that I should spend some time with my parents too and what better than sitting with them and watching their favourite shows over a cup of tea.

And soon I realised how wrong I thought of my parents in all these days as they just wanted me to settle in life and a find an appropriate job. This was not too much they asked from their son who was an adult now. I had discussions with them and understood what they actually meant when they asked me to get serious about life. I realised how once I had thought to leave my house and go elsewhere thankfully now I don’t want to do any such thing as my parents are and should always be my priority because whatever they said to me was solely for my benefit. And unnecessary arguments I got into with them in the past was a so wrong on my part. After a long introspect during this quarantine I have decided that I will work hard and settle down to fix my unreasonable attitude towards life.

So my final take away from this period was that we all have to fight a battle sometimes with parents, sometimes with friends /colleagues and sometimes with our own self but one should always take the path of honesty and reality.

The quarantine gave me a lesson of life and made my perspective clear about life. It made me understand which direction I want to go to in future and obviously continue upgrading myself as this is the way of life.
