CABINET APPROVES INVEST UP AGENCY TO ATTRACT INVESTMENT

LUCKNOW: The state cabinet on Tuesday approved a proposal to set up ‘Invest UP’, an Uttar Pradesh investment promotion and facilitati­on agency.

It also approved amendments to industrial policy to bring down the requiremen­t of minimum land to set private industrial parks in Uttar Pradesh.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath presided over the meeting of state cabinet held via video conferenci­ng that decided to provide profession­al manpower to the new agency by upgrading and strengthen­ing the Udyog Bandhu.

The cabinet also approved a proposal for amendments to Uttar Pradesh Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion Policy 2017, Promotiona­l scheme to set up private industrial parks and UP Warehousin­g and Logistics Policy- 2018.

It also approved proposal to provide financial assistance to poor and homeless persons in rural areas and carry out different works for setting up cow protection centres.

It approved assistance of Rs 5000 to poor or homless family for cremation of a family member and Rs 2000 for treatment if not covered under Ayushman Bharat or any other scheme.

It approved Standard Operating Procedure for reimbursem­ent of SGST as incentive to industrial units set up under UP Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion Policy 2017.

The state cabinet approved proposal to increase maximum age to 60 and 64 years for contractua­l appointmen­t of assistant professors and associate professors in state medical colleges.

The state cabinet approved a proposal to extend the time limit for signing of concession agreement for constructi­on of NOIDA Internatio­nal Greenfield Airport being set up at Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. It decided to extend the time limit to 45 days or August 17, 2020 whichever is later from the starting of internatio­nal flights between India and Malaysia and India and Switzerlan­d. This will include the quarantine period. Chief minister has been authorized any further decisions on the issue.

The state cabinet approved a proposal 400 kilo litre water from upper Ganga Canal to M/S INOX Air Products Private Limited Company In Modi Nagar, Ghaziabad for producing liquid oxygen in state’s medical coleges and hospitals.
