The lockdown has brought out our different side

- - FALAK FAROOQ Student, Lucknow

None of us can deny that this lockdown has brought a different side of us. Some of us have found their hidden talents and some have enhanced their capabilities, but what we have learned the most is the realization of the genuine necessities.

I stayed home in self isolation near my loved ones and I realized how important is their presence in my life. We, students, were provided with online classes displaying education should never be stop at any cost. I was pretty much overwhelmed when I got to know that a branch of my school decreased the fee by 85 per cent due to the pandemic.

My father made me so proud when he asked me to contact as needy people (including the peons of my school and beggars on the road) so that he can provide them with some food and money.

Before this pandemic and lockdown happened, we all were so busy living our lives. Majority of us had a mindset that we live to earn money, to maintain a social status and live an abundant life. Which in my perspective, is completely a myth!

These isolation days made me and many more realize that we don’t live to rush rather we live to gain happiness, to share happiness, to have good health and to radiate positivity around us. We should aim to live a healthy life which includes both mind and body. We had ignored our mental health which is a complete necessity for us.

A positive state of mind always leads to success and happiness.

Staying in touch with our closed and loved ones is so necessary at the same time. Again, spreading happiness and caring for others whether it be humans or animals is the real meaning of life.

Let’s stay positive in these times where our whole world is fighting together against corona and built a better state of mind and add more meaning to our lives.
