Yogi for special attention to health services in 10 dists
LUCKNOW : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday directed officials to give special attention to health services in 10 districts — Agra, Meerut, Aligarh, Moradabad, Kanpur Nagar, Firozabad, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Basti. Appropriate measures should be initiated on priority to bring about an improvement in the districts where health services had not been found up to the mark, he added.
Adityanath said reports should be taken from district magistrates and chief medical officers of such districts where health services were not up to expectations.
The chief minister was reviewing the Unlock-1 situation with his Team-11 at his Lok Bhawan office here.
He expressed satisfaction over increase in the rate of Covid-19 testing to 15,000 tests per day and said there should be a further increase in the number of tests carried out per day in UP. Services should be provided in non-Covid hospitals in accordance with the health department’s protocol, he added.
He also said regular monitoring of patients should be done in Covid hospitals, adding that doctors and nurses should take regular rounds in the wards.
Vigilance and monitoring committees should remain on alert and the surveillance system should be made effective, the chief minister said.
He also said special attention should be paid to cleanliness for effective control of contagious diseases. The chief minister asked senior officers to ensure that implementation of centrally sponsored schemes and the state government’s development projects was expedited in Uttar Pradesh. He said such expeditious work would lead to creation of more jobs for labourers/workers and help in building a new Uttar Pradesh.
He said divisional commissioners should regularly review the implementation of development schemes in districts under their charge. He said a strategy should be worked out for early completion of the work on development projects on priority basis. Yogi Adityanath added. He also said an effective work plan should be formulated to benefit the street vendors from the prime minister’s special economic package. Work should be expedited on construction of cheap houses under the affordable housing scheme of the housing department, he said to the officials. Nullahs (drains) should be desilted before the monsoon, he added.
