Keep strict vigil, carry out more tests, says CM

LUCKNOW : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday asked officials to maintain strict vigil in districts, which were reporting a high number of Covid-19 cases and carry out more corona tests in Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Ballia.

The CM said more than 85,000 rapid antigen tests and over 45,000 RT-PCR tests should be conducted every day in the state. “The maximum number of tests should also be done by using TruNat machines,” he emphasized while reviewing the unlock-3 situation at a high level meeting here on Tuesday.

He said work of integrated command and control centres may play an important role in the prevailing situation as better surveillan­ce could check Covid-19 death rate.

command and control centres should be monitored regularly and additional teams should be deployed to carry out door-todoor surveys. He also stressed on increasing the number of beds in Covid hospitals and more technical staff for medical treatment in accordance with the needs.

There should also be elaborate publicity of e-sanjivani services

to ensure maximum benefit to the people, added Yogi Adityanath.

The CM said farmers should get fertiliser­s well in time and there should be no black marketing of fertiliser­s. He also stated that NSA should be invoked against those found indulging in black marketing of fertiliste­rs.

He directed officials to launch a campaign for bringing about an improvemen­t in progeny of cows to have high milk yielding cows and increase availabili­ty of milk. He said relief work should be carried out effectivel­y in flood-affected areas.
