Panel to suggest ways for secondary edu dept

LUCKNOW : The secondary education department has formed a 11-member committee to formulate an action plan for effective implementa­tion of National Education Policy-2020 (NEP-2020) in the state.

In an order, director (secondary education) Vinay Kumar Pandey named the 11 members who will suggest ways to implement NEP-2020 in such a manner that ensures smooth transition.

The committee is expected to submit its point of view latest by 4 pm on August 26, says the order issued by Pandey. The committee is led by additional education director (vocational education) Manju Sharma. Members include joint director education, Bhagwati Singh; secretary, UP Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad,

Divyakant Shukla; divisional joint director (education), Agra, Mukesh Agarwal; divisional joint director education, Bareilly, Pradeep Kumar and divisional joint director education, Lucknow, Surendra Tewari.

Other members are Vishnukant Pandey of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, deputy director education, Vivek Nautiyal; education department’s PC Yadav; DIoS, Lucknow, Mukesh Kumar and DIoS, Etawah, Raju Rana.

An official said the committee will prepare a road map on implementi­ng NEP effectivel­y in the secondary education department so that the state education system improved further and students were benefited.Last week, CM formed a 17-member task force to formulate an action plan for effective implementa­tion of NEP-2020 in the state.
