Unnao retains first position in ease of doing biz ranking
LUCKNOW: Unnao has retained top rank in category–A districts with a total score of 178.12 for the month of August in ‘District level ease of doing business’ ranking.
The state government on Tuesday released ranking of districts for the same.
Unnao received over 2000 applications through single window portal, Nivesh Mitra.
With 185.74 score, Kaushambi retained its first position in the category-B of districts receiving less than 2,000 applications for the month of August 2020 district level ease of doing business ranking.
“Increasing monthly user satisfaction feedback and higher grievances disposal are clear indicators of ground level changes in the state,” said Alok Kumar, additional chief secretary, Infrastructure & Industrial Development, state government.
“I am sure that monthly district level ease of doing business ranking exercise will be a game changer in next year’s Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) ranking for Uttar Pradesh,” Kumar added.
From May last, the state government has started conducting monthly district level ease of doing business ranking for all 75 districts. Unnao and Kaushambi have been the leading districts in category A and B respectively since then.
On monthly basis, the districts are being assessed on key ease of doing business parameters such as ‘monthly disposal of licenes/NOC, grievances resolution and user satisfaction feedback.
In August, 64 districts out of 75 districts have improved their district level ease of doing business score.
