DLT Labs to set up centre of excellence at AKTU
LUCKNOW: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh (formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University) will soon get a centre of excellence to impart education on block-chain technology and artificial intelligence.
DLT Labs, a name in enterprise block-chain solutions, announced to set up the centre to foster the knowledge of AKTU students. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard would be signed soon, an AKTU official said.
As part of the MoU, the university will provide the physical infrastructure and DLT Labs will bring in enterprise block-chain expertise and cloud infrastructure. DLT Labs is also committed to spending up to Rs 1 crore to make the AKTU centre of excellence a success.
The initiative was announced at AKTU’s 18th convocation on January 16, at which the university conferred the ‘Distinguished Alumni’ award on Neeraj Srivastava, founder of DLT Labs. Srivastava’s mother Neelam Srivastava received the award from governor Anandiben Patel. Director, Centre for Advanced Studies, AKTU, Prof Manish Gaur said, “The work for establishment of the centre of excellence is in progress and will be completed by the end of this financial year.”
Speaking from Canada through a live webcast, Srivastava announced that the company would hire more than 600 engineers this year and more than 7,000 engineers from different colleges of AKTU university in the next three years.
Born in Gorakhpur, Neeraj Srivastava completed engineering from AKG Engineering College, Ghaziabad (AKTU) and founded DLT Labs in 2017 with his partners Ajay Singh and Umesh Singh Kushwaha, from Gorakhpur and Lucknow respectively. In a short span, with Neeraj’s leadership, DLT Labs has become a global leader.
