Govt releases ₹2.13 crore to improve connectivity of religious places in Lko
LUCKNOW: In a move to promote religious tourism in the state capital, six religious places of Lucknow would be connected with main roads or road connecting them would be widened and beautified, said a press release issued by the under secretary, Rajesh Kumar Pandey.
The funds to improve connectivity of religious places in different cities of the state have been released all over the state and Lucknow is one of the major beneficiaries.
According the press release, against the total cost of Rs 4.29 crore for various projects in the state capital, the state government has released Rs 2.13 crore.
The press communiqué says the Bhavreshwar Mahadev temple at Kurri Sudali road would be connected with Sudauli road, the total cost of the project is Rs 1.96 crore, out of which Rs 98 lakh has been released by the state government to start work.
Under the initiative, the road connecting Chandrika Devi temple would be beautified and glow sign boards would be placed there.
The project will cost Rs 88.48 lakh, out of which Rs 44 lakh has been released.
The Hanuman Temple at Malihabad would also be renovated and approach road would be constructed at a cost of around Rs 17.53 lakhs, out of which Rs 8 lakh has been released.
Similarly, Rs 2 lakh has been released for beautification of footpaths and repairing of the road leading to Ghatghat Baba Temple at Mal Bharawan. The total cost of the project is Rs 4.47 lakh.
The Jhareshwar Mahadev temple would be connected with Bani Mohaan road and interlocking tiles would be placed on both sides of the road. The estimate work will be of around Rs 85 lakh, out of which Rs 42 lakh has been released.
Besides, the road leading to Sheetlamata temple from Banthara would be widened and interlocking tiles would be placed on both sides of the road at a cost of Rs 38.13 lakh, out of which Rs 19 lakh has been released, it stated.
