119 FRESH COVID CASES, 1 MORE DEATH IN STATE

LUCKNOW : Uttar Pradesh recorded 119 fresh Covid cases on Thursday and one death reported from Mathura.

During the day, 114 patients were discharged. A total of 593149 patients have recovered in the state so far.

Lucknow reported 17 cases, Kanpur 9, Prayagraj 1, Ghaziabad 4, Gautam Buddha Nagar 13 and Varanasi 11, according to the state health department report released on Thursday.

Lucknow has till now reported 81957 Covid cases of which 80505 have recovered. “The recovery rate in Lucknow is 98.22%,” said Dr Abhishek Shukla, secretary general, Association of International Doctors.

Fresh cases in Lucknow were reported from Indira Nagar, Rae Bareli Road and Gomti Nagar. Lucknow has 266 active cases of which 118 are in home isolation. Till now, 31749776 Covid samples have been tested in the state, including over 18 lakh samples in Lucknow.

“Covid cases have gone down but the infection threat is still there, hence people need to adhere to Covid protocol,” said Amit Mohan Prasad, additional chief secretary, medical health.

114 PATIENTS WERE DISCHARGED. A TOTAL OF 5,93,149 PATIENTS HAVE RECOVERED IN THE STATE SO FAR.
