MANY SENIORS COULDN’T MAKE IT TO VAX CENTRES

LUCKNOW : Many senior citizens, who couldn’t make it to the vaccination centres, were worried over how they would get their vaccine shots.

Some of these people were bedridden while many had to take care of their partners and could not come for vaccination. Officials said at present the vaccination was being carried out at designated hospitals (government and private) and there was no provision for home visits.

“If there are any guidelines for such people, we will follow. Currently, the vaccination is being carried out at identified facilities across where beneficiaries have to reach with related documents. They can get wheelchairs to reach the booth from the main gate,” said Dr MK Singh, in-charge of vaccination in Luck- now.
