HCBA gives Prayagraj bandh call on Mar 9
PRAYAGRAJ: The Allahabad high court lawyers, along with several other local trade organisations, on Thursday gave a call for Prayagraj bandh on March 9 in protest against the Education Service Tribunal Bill.
In a resolution passed in the Allahabad High Court Bar Association (HCBA) meeting during the day, the association also resolved to continue boycotting judicial work on the issue on Friday as well. The meeting, organised near the high court, was addressed by former city MLA Anugrah Narain Singh and several leaders of employees’ organisations.
The speakers criticised the state government for gradually shifting all important organisations from Prayagraj to Lucknow.
The HCBA is protesting against the Bill, which provides for setting up of the principal seat of the Education Service Tribunal at Lucknow instead of at Prayagraj.
