BJP STATE COMMITTEE MEETING LIKELY IN MID-MARCH

LUCKNOW: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to hold its state working committee meeting in mid-March, party leaders said. Though the final programme of the meeting is yet to be readied, BJP chief JP Nadda could attend the meeting likely to be held in Lucknow, a party leader said.

“March 13 and 14 are being thought about as possible meeting dates though nothing has been finalised yet,” a BJP leader said. He added that the meeting is being planned to lay the blueprint for panchayat polls likely to be held in April-May. After that, stage would be set for the 2022 UP polls, party leaders said. The meeting would also be used to find local candidates who the party considers could be fielded in these rural polls, party leaders said. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath, deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, state general secretary (organisati­on) Sunil Bansal and party UP in-charge Radha Mohan would be present.
