Kumbh returnees to be quarantined
NEW DELHI: The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has asked those returning from the Mahamumbh in Haridwar and those who intend to go the religious pilgrimage in the coming days to mandatorily undergo 14-day home or institutional quarantine upon returning to the national capital.
In an order issued by chief secretary Vijay Dev on Saturday night, the DDMA also asked
Delhi residents, who had visited the ongoing Kumbh between April 4 and Saturday, to upload their details, including name, address, contact number, ID proof, date of departure and arrival in the city, among others, on the Delhi government website for contact tracing.
The city government has no data on the number of residents who went to attend the Kumbh this year, senior government officials said.
