COVID CONTROL ROOM SET UP PM’S KASHI OFFICE
VARANASI : A 24x7 Covid-19 control room was set up in the parliamentary office of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in Varanasi, on Sunday. The office will start functioning from Monday, said UP BJP co-in-charge Sunil Ojha.
Ojha said that the control room will start functioning from April 19, and through it, people will be given information about the availability of beds at hospitals, oxygen, ventilators and medicines. A team of doctors will also be present in the control room. Through telephone, the team of doctors will give free advice and prescribe medicines to Covid-19-positive patients on the basis of symptoms.
BJP city unit president Vidyasagar Rai said that four teams of BJP workers have been deployed at the control room. These will work in shifts.
Rai said that the team of doctors, including Anil Ohri, Manoj Shrivastava, SP Gupta and Ashok Rai, will be in the control room and will provide help to the needy. In addition, many other doctors have given their consent to provide free consultation to people through the control centre.
Kashi region BJP media in-charge Navratan Rathi said that two numbers of the control room are being issued to help patients. The numbers are: 0542-2314000, and 9415914000. All information, advice and assistance will be given through telephone only.
