Hero temporarily shuts down plants for 10 days
NEW DELHI: Hero MotoCorp Ltd, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has decided to suspend production between April 22 and May 1, due to the surge in covid-19 cases. The firm will instead utilise the time for annual maintenance of the machinery, which happens in the May-June period and in December. The firm had taken a similar decision last year, when production was suspended between March 22 and first week of May during the nationwide lockdown.
