Gulfam Ahmad

Struck with polio at a very young age, he knocked down the barrier of disability and set an example. The goal of Ahmad’s life is to motivate those who have lost their confidence. During the pandemic, he has helped lakhs of underprivileged people by distributing meals. Despite being wheelchair bound, he ran big distribution drives.

As the founder of the NGO run by student volunteers, he helps victims of sex trafficking, and children who are destitute or have special needs. The NGO has built two schools, one each in Bali and Hingalgunj, West Bengal — where the cyclone had completely collapsed the education system.
