LOWER VACCINE PRICE, MLA URGES SII

BJP MLA from Gorakhpur Dr Radha Mohan Dad Agarwal has urged the Serum Institute of India (SII) to lower the price of the Covishield vaccine for general public and private hospitals.

In a tweet Dr Agarwal said, “The Serum Institute has announced that it will supply the vaccine to the central government at Rs 200, to the state governments at Rs 400 and for private procurement at Rs 600. The Serum Institute had earlier stated that its expenditure on each vial is Rs 220. It should cut down the price for the private hospitals and procurement,” he said.
