- HT Correspondent

: The Provincial Medical Services Association (PMSA), a body of government doctors in Uttar Pradesh, has demanded that beds be reserved in Covid-19 hospitals for medical staff on duty.

In a letter sent to the chief minister’s office, PMSA president Sachin Vaish and general secretary Amit Singh said, “Apart from a few beds at PGI and KGMU in Lucknow, each district must reserve a few beds for doctors on Covid-19 duty so that the medical staff can work without any apprehension.”

“Doctors are working hard to bring results and reserving beds

will make them more comfortable. We have to take care of our doctors and those falling ill need immediate medical care to get well soon and return to

duty,” said Singh.

A large number of doctors and paramedical staff have fallen ill due to infection in the state.
