3rd O2 Exp reaches UP

One more Oxygen Express train arrived in Uttar Pradesh late on Monday night with around 75,000 litres of liquid medical oxygen (LMO). This was the third such train to reach the state. With this, railways has so far transporte­d over 1.65 lakh litres oxygen from Bokaro (Jharkhand) to UP.

The train that arrived on Monday night carried five oxygen tankers of 15,000 capacity each. It had left Bokaro, Jharkhand, on Sunday. Besides, railways rushed another train, the fourth one so far, to Bokaro on Tuesday to fetch an additional 45,000 litres of oxygen to UP.

Railway officials said after the third train arrived on Monday night, one tanker was unloaded in Varanasi and the remaining four were brought to the Charbagh railway station in Lucknow at around 12.45am. Officials said the tankers left for gas stations in Lucknow and the neighbouri­ng districts soon after being de-boarded at the Charbagh station.
