OXYGEN PLANT TO COME UP IN PRAYAGRAJ, LAND ALLOTED

The state government has approved a proposal by Prabha Engineerin­g Constructi­on to set up an oxygen plant at the Saraswati Hitech City of the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Developmen­t Authority (UPSIDA), Prayagraj, on Tuesday.

This hi-tech plant will produce liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, industrial and medical oxygen. It will have the capacity to fill around 1,100 to 1,500 oxygen cylinders per day, a statement issued by the state government on Tuesday, read.

The government has allotted 4,000 sq metres of industrial land to the company on a priority basis. The plant will come up with an investment of Rs 15.76 crore and will directly generate employment for 50 people. According to the state government the plant is expected to start operation by August this year. For setting up this plant, Prabha Engineerin­g Constructi­on has signed an MoU with Gujarat-based New Kanak Sales and Consultanc­y Service.

Through this plant, three prominent hospitals of Prayagraj will get free oxygen supply, including Dufferin, Colvin and Beli hospitals.
