There has been a slight increase in the recovery rate as more patients have recovered than the new cases in the past four days,” said Dr Abhishek Shukla, secretary general, Association of International Doctors.

Lucknow now has 46,596 active cases, a large number of whom are in home isolation.

“The recovery rate in home isolation is good as those with no or mild symptom can recover at home only by following the prescribed medication and exercise for improving breathing,” said Dr Sandip Kapoor, director of Healthcity hospital.

Dr Kapoor, who is also supporting a Covid helpline for patients to get reply to their queries, said, “If one is able to manage home isolation well, they can get back to work soon after completing the required isolation period. Such patients do not feel weakness once they have recovered completely.”
