Testing, meanwhile, is dropping steadily over the past few weeks

-

Daily testing, meanwhile, has dropped considerably in the past few weeks, data shows. For the week ending April 17, an average of 99,776 daily samples were tested in the city, the highest rate ever recorded in Delhi. Since then, however, this number has dropped steadily. For the week ending Wednesday, 81,829 samples were tested every day – 27% below peak testing rate. On Wednesday itself, a total of 73,027 samples were tested — 36% below the highest ever single day testing capacity Delhi has exhibited till date. A 27% drop in testing, explains why cases in the Capital have been dropping in the past week, despite the positivity rate not going down.
