PGI nurses threaten to go on strike on May 2
LUCKNOW : The PGI Staff Nurses Association has warned of a strike on May 2 if their demands of better accommodation for nurses serving in Covid hospital of PGI and increase in salaries of contractual nurses were not met. President of the association Seema Shukla said, “The nurses are getting infected after working in the Rajdhani Covid Hospital (RCH).” She said the outsourced nurses were getting just Rs 17,000 as salary even though they were the ones serving in the RCH. They need to be paid well as per state government norms.
