Rs 1.5 lakh looted at gunpoint

PRAYAGRAJ : Some unidentified bike-borne miscreants looted Rs 1.50 lakh cash from an agent of a private company at gunpoint on Jhapia road under Puramufti police in Kaushambi district on Thursday morning. Reports said a resident of Bharwari area, Saddam Hussain works as an agent of a private collection agency. On Thursday, he was taking cash to the agency’s office in Prayagraj when the miscreants waylaid him and looted cash from him. Police launched a hunt for looters on receiving information but failed to trace them. Circle officer, Civil Lines, Sudhir Kumar said a probe was being carried out after receiving a complaint in this connection.
