ONE DEAD, TWO INJURED IN OXYGEN CYLINDER BLAST IN KANPUR

KANPUR: A worker was killed and two others injured when an oxygen cylinder exploded during refilling inside Panki oxygen plant in Dadanagar industrial area here early on Friday morning, Panki police said.

They added that the injured workers had been admitted to a private hospital. The explosion occurred when a plant worker Murad Ali of Mardanpur was refilling a cylinder in C13 section which caters to hospitals and retail market.

While Ali died on the spot, two other workers Hari Om Gautam and Radhey Lal were injured in the blast. ACP, Govind Nagar, Vikas Pandey said the cylinder that was being refilled belonged to a hospital in Kidwai Nagar.
