Meanwhile, the state government on Friday decided to set up Covid isolation wards at reserve police lines for police personnel working as frontline workers during pandemic times, said senior state government officials. They said one doctor will remain deployed at the isolation ward round the clock for treatment and medical consultation of cops getting infected with Covid-19.
They said it will help cops get admitted under doctor’s supervision immediately instead of running from one place to another for beds. They also said a helpline number will be launched for medical consultation over phone for their family members.
