AYODHYA SHODH SANSTHAN HEAD YP SINGH DIES
LUCKNOW: Director of Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan YP Singh succumbed to coronavirus on Friday. Singh, 61, was suffering from Covid-19 and undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Noida. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolence on his demise.
He was instrumental is implementation of the Global Encyclopaedia of Ramayan project of the state government. Recently, chief minister Adityanath had released first edition of the Global Encyclopaedia of Ramayan and also its e-book. The Ayodhya Research Institute, a body of the cultural department, state government, has prepared this encyclopaedia. It was designed by the IIT-Kharagpur. Singh was also instrumental in giving global platform to Ramleela of Ayodhya and other Ramleelas of the country, including Jasawant Nagar’s Ramleela.
He had also played a major role in organising Ramleelas of other nations in Ayodhya.
Singh had retired on June 30 last year, but the state government had continued his services.
