: The bodies of three Covid-19 positive patients, including a 64-year-old man and his 22-year-old son, were found at two houses in LDA Colony under Krishna Nagar police station limits here on Saturday night, police officials said.

The officials said all the three had tested positive a few days ago and they were in home isolation.

They died apparently after their condition deteriorated during home isolation, the officials added.

Inspector (Krishna Nagar police station) MC Dubey said the bodies of Arvind Goyal, 64, and his son Kashish alias Ilu Goyal, 22, were found at their house in Sector D, LDA Colony, after the neighbours complained of a foul smell emanating from the house. He also said Arvind’s wife Ranjana Goyal, 60, who was also Covid-19 positive, was found lying semi-conscious in the house.

The condition of the bodies suggested that they died twothree days ago, but remained unattended as nobody had information about them, the inspector added.

He also said the bodies had been sent for post-mortem examination while the woman had been rushed to a hospital.

The inspector said the body of another Covid-19 positive patient, identified as Vivek Sharma, 45, was found at his house in Sector B, LDA Colony. Sharma was also in home isolation after testing positive around a week ago, Dubey said.

He said Sharma’s body was found after his relative in Vikas Nagar called the police control room to enquire about him when phone calls to Sharma went unanswered.
