In Shahjahanpur, people lie under Pipal tree for oxygen

A group of people in Tilhar area of Shahjahanpur, who were complaining of breathlessness on Saturday, lay under a Pipal tree to get oxygen. Someone advised them to adopt this method to get life-saving air, after they were allegedly denied admission by a government hospital.

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

BJP MLA RL Varma came to know about the incident and reached the spot. He found three locals, Ram Niwas, Muskan and Urmila, lying there. All of them complained of breathlessness and Covid-19 related symptoms.

According to Varma, these people went to medical college but were denied admission.

Locals advised them to lie down under the Pipal tree as it gives more oxygen, Varma told mediapersons. He contacted the Shahjahanpur DM, who then got them admitted in a government hospital.
