Answer questions on the shortage

This refers to Karan Thapar’s Four questions on the vaccine strategy (April 25). It seems the government’s attempts to be “self-reliant” superseded the need to be sensible. It is unclear why it did not approve foreignmade vaccines earlier, so that the pace could be quicker. Rita Sharma, via email
