PHILIPPINES’ TOP DIPLOMAT TWEETS EXPLETIVE WHILE TARGETING CHINA
MANILA: The Philippines’ top diplomat sparked a storm on Monday by tweeting an expletive-laced warning aimed at China, firmly asking Beijing to withdraw its vessels from the disputed waters of the South China Sea. “China, my friend, how politely can I put it? Let me see,” foreign secretary Teodoro Locsin wrote in his controversial tweet, following up the sentence with an expletive.
The latest spat between Manila and Beijing flared up in March after hundreds of Chinese boats were spotted inside the Philippines’ Exclusive Economic Zone.
