LUCKNOW: The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) has urged the Central and the state governments to bring a policy to take care of children orphaned by Covid-19.

“While the number of deaths and infections from this pandemic are very frightening, many innocent children have lost their parents due to government indifference, negligence and poor health facilities,” RLD national spokesman Anupam Mishra said in a statement here on Wednesday. “In such a situation, it is the responsibility of the Central and state governments to provide food, education and healthcare to these innocent children till they complete the age of 24 years,” he demanded.

For this, Mishra further suggested that a Centralised policy
