CONG CLAIMS WIN ON 270 ZILA PANCHAYAT MEMBER SEATS

LUCKNOW: UP Congress has claimed victory on 270 zila panchayat member seats in the recently concluded panchayat polls in Uttar Pradesh.

“We claim victory on 270 zila panchayat members seats, on 571 seats our candidates came second, while on 711 seats Congress candidates were on third place. In the entire state, large number of Congress candidates won gram pradhan and kshetra panchayat members elections,” said UP Congress Committee (UPCC) president Ajay Kumar Lallu on Wednesday.

“This is the outcome of strengthening of the party outfit at nyay panchayat, block, and village levels across the state by the Congress national general secretary and UP incharge Priyanka Gandhi Vadra,” said Lallu.
