Maya hits out at Kejriwal over movement of migrants
LUCKNOW: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Saturday alleged that Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal was indulging in theatrics over the movement of migrants from the national capital.
“With folded hands, the Delhi CM is urging people not to leave Delhi. It’s nothing but a drama which he enacted earlier during the Covid -19 lockdown,” she said. The migrants were also moving out of Maharashtra, Haryana and Punjab, she said, adding it was a sad scenario being witnessed in these states said. In a series of tweets Mayawati said, if the state governments had generated confidence among the migrants that their needs will be fulfilled during the lockdown, the migrants would not have left.
The BSP chief demanded that poor, Dalits and tribals should be given free Covid vaccination.
The central and state governments should give economic support to the poor people, she added.
