China criticises UN event on Xinjiang

BEIJING: China has urged UN members not to attend an event planned next week by Germany, Britain and US on the repression of Uighur Muslims and other minorities in Xinjiang. “It is a politically-motivated event,” China’s UN mission wrote in a note seen by Reuters.
