‘I keep isolating myself to keep kids safe’

Economic Offence Wing, deputy superintendent of police, Babita Singh has two daughters Disha (14) and Paridhi (12). Both bake a cake and make cards for her. “These are small happy gestures that we try to find in these tough global scenarios. As a mother, it’s tough as I have to go to work, sometimes in the field too and then come home to the family.”

She is taking all precautions. “Since the pandemic started, we made an isolation section on our first floor. At different times and circumstances, I have quarantined myself for nearly a month. Last time, I was quarantined for 14 days when I came in contact with a Covid positive colleague and I also developed some symptoms.”
