NIA to probe Maoist commander Hidma
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has launched a probe against Madavi Hidma, a key Maoist commander, in connection with the seizure of a cache of explosive materials including 900 detonators, people familiar with the matter said. Officials cited above said that Hidma was booked after two “Maoist couriers”, arrested on February 18, revealed during interrogation that they were instructed by Hidma to collect explosives. Hidma is also accused of having led the U-shaped ambush on forces in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district in April.
