RETIRED HC JUDGE DIES OF COVID

Former judge of Allahabad high court, Justice Mukhtar Ahmad (64) died of coronaviru­s infection on Saturday night. He was admitted to the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram after prolonged illness and breathed his last while undergoing treatment for Covid-19. Justice Ahmad took oath as additional judge of Allahabad HC on February 18, 2015. Later, he took oath as permanent judge on January 16, 2017. Ultimately, he retired on October 3, 2018, from the Allahabad High Court.
