ONE HELD FOR BLACK MARKETING OF REMDESIVIR

LUCKNOW: Continuing its crackdown on black marketing of remdesivir injections, the Lucknow police on Sunday arrested one person and recovered vials of injections from his possession in Wazirganj police area, said senior police officials.

A senior police official said the accused was identified as Sayed Fazi-ur-Rehman, who was selling remedesivi­r injections at an exorbitant rate to attendants of Covid-19 patients admitted at King George Medical University. He said the accused was caught red handed near the KGMU intersecti­on.

UP additional director general (ADG), law and order, Prashant Kumar said as many as 118 people had been arrested by the state police from different districts during the second surge of Covid-19 for black marketing of life saving injections. At least 1083 vials of lifesaving injections have been recovered from them.
